We are certified organic through Vermont Organic Farmers. According to their website: “Since 1985, VOF has provided a highly credible program for independent third-party verification of organic food production and has been accredited by the USDA National Organic Program since 2002. VOF was created by farmers and thus remains a farmer driven organization.”
We are accredited through the Community Accreditation for Produce Safety (CAPS), a program of the Vermont Vegetable and Berry Growers Association. CAPS is a voluntary, practical approach to documenting the use of practices that reduce food safety risks on farms that grow fresh produce. By completing a CAPS-produce safety plan and posting this plan online, we have shown that we are committed to practices that reduce food safety-related risk.
